Here's a tip for all owners to learn sewing machine sewing a zig-zag sewing. Did you know you're looking for edges can be rolled when you remove a zig-zag stitching around the end for sewing?

Here's how to make a zig zag stitching on one side and to keep him at home.

Cut a piece of carpet and button thread or string weighing about 3 cm longer than the length of cord you want with a zig-zag end-edge.

Then choose your> Sewing machine for the longest and widest zig-zag stitching.

Place the heavy wire / string only within the raw edge of the seam leaving about 3 inches to extend beyond the end of the fabric, where it begins to sew. That gives you a tail "to keep" as you start to sew.

Well, a zig-zag point on heavy thread / string, all on the edge of the fabric, as usual you finish edge stitching. Are not sewn from heavy wire. You arestitched on it.

The heavy wire / string does not allow room for the edge of the laminated fabric and the foot, as points along the edge.

Drag the heavy thread / string after completing the stitching. You can always use the same string for all the seams.

You'll notice after you remove the wire / rope, with points freely over the edge and are flat.

This also works on thin, lighter fabrics like silk, Challis, crepes,ETC.

Gently press the edges of your property and enjoy!

Seeing is believing! Sense!

If you are thinking of going into a knitting business, than the knitting machine would be your best choice. You will be able to produce quality items much more quickly with a machine than you would be able to with hand knitting.

Brother knitting machine part

I have always owned and used the Brother knitting machines. I had 3 or 4 machines at all times. But Brother quit making them so now you can only buy used ones. A used machine is not a bad choice though. I have bought two used machines online and have had no trouble with either one them.

But the machines I used were not computerized or electrical either. All the machines I owned and used for my business were punchard bulky or standard machines. The punchards were 24 stitches repeat and provided plenty of choices for designs.

The also had many choices of stitches yo use. There was the lace stitch, weave, and fairisle just to mention a few. I could do intarsia, multiple patterns or even isolate one if I wanted. I had so many choices I never saw a need to get the biggest, fanciest machine available on the market. All I needed was a bulky or standard and a punchard and I had all the business I could manage.

Bond knitting machine pattern

If you know your machine you can covert just about any other machines pattern to work on whatever machine you own. I do not know a lot about the Bond knitting machine but I do not believe it would hold up to the constant production a business would entail.

Kid knitting machine

I think the Ultimate Sweater machine is fine for the home knitter or for teaching the kids how to knit. But the production of knitting constantly needs a pretty sturdy machine.

If you do decide to buy a used machine, make sure it is clean with no oil build up or rust. If well maintained there is no reason for these machines not to last for many many years. There are not that many parts to break or cause problems, with the machines I use. You can still get needles and parts for the Brother machines. You will often see them sold under the Brother name or the Knit King Knitting machines, which are the same.

Maintenance is the keyword here. The fancier the machine, the more bells and whistles they have the more that can go wrong. Your machine choice will depend on what you plan to do. Are you going to be a designer? If you plan on creating one of kind items, than you may want all that the machines have to offer.

I needed a workhorse. Yes I designed but I designed for production of multiple items.. I never created the intricate, detailed items that take weeks to produce. Mine were fast and functional.

I could whip out a ski cap with a thick ribbed edging, a complete pattern that ran all around the entire hat and have it personalized with the requested name in three different colors in 15 minutes. I could knit about 30 hats a day, sold them for between $8.00 and $30.00 per hat. Not too bad for working at home and being available for my family.

I loved my work and always found it very fulfilling. You need to do your homework and decide what type of knitting business you want and buy your machine accordingly.

Here is a sewing tip to help all zigzag sewing machine owners learn how to sew. Did you know that you can eliminate rolled up looking edges when you use a zigzag stitch to finish your seams in your sewing?

Here is how to sew a zigzag stitch over an edge and keep it laying flat.

Cut a piece of button and carpet thread or heavy string about 3 inches longer than the length of the seam you want to finish with a zigzag edge.

Then, set your sewing machine for the longest and widest zigzag stitch.

Lay the heavy thread/string just inside the raw edge of your seam allowance leaving about 3 inches extend over the end of the fabric where you will start stitching. This gives you a “tail” to hold on to as you begin your stitching.

Now, zigzag stitch over the heavy thread/string all along the edge of the fabric just like you normally finish your seam edge. You aren’t stitching through the heavy thread. You are stitching over it.

The heavy thread/string will not let the fabric edge be stretched and curled up by the presser foot as it stitches along the edge.

Pull out the heavy thread/string after you complete your stitching. You can use the same string over again for all your seams.

You will notice after you remove the thread/string that the stitches are laying loosely over the edge and are flat.

This even works on thin, lighter weight fabrics like silk, challis, crepes, etc..

Press lightly and enjoy your flat edges!

Try it! It just makes sense!

In that past, shopping for a binding machine could prove to be extremely challenging. Many customers have seen different binding styles on the market and would like to try them out. However, since all three of the major binding styles on the market use different hole patterns, customers were forced to choose a single binding style or buy multiple binding machines. Without spending thousands of dollars customers were not able to bind documents using Plastic Combs, Twin Loop Wire and Spiral Coil. However, using the GBC C500 binding machine, consumers can now bind all three types of documents.

The difficulty in using one machine to do different types of binding is that most binding styles use different hole patterns. Plastic Comb Binding machines punch a rectangular hole pattern with 19 holes for an 11″ document. Twin loop wire binding machines that bind smaller documents (up to 9/16″ thick) punch a square or round hole pattern with 32 holes for an 11″ document. Most color coil or spiral coil binding machines punch a 4:1 pitch hole pattern with four holes per inch (either 43 or 44 holes for an 11″ document). This is why it is so difficult to use one binding machine to bind all three styles.

The GBC CombBind C500 binding machine punches both the 19 hole pattern for comb binding and the 32 hole pattern for twin loop wire binding. There are simply two punching slots on the C500, one for comb binding and one for wire binding. The GBC C500 also includes a simple twin loop wire closer for wire binding and a plastic comb opener for comb binding. This covers two of the three major binding styles leaving only spiral coil remaining.

Using the GBC CombBind C500 binding machine to bind documents with color coil simply involves buying the right supplies and a pair of coil crimping pliers. Since the C500 has the ability to punch a 3:1 pitch round hole pattern it is fully compatible with 3:1 pitch spiral coil. Although most of the spiral coil that you find on the market is 4:1 pitch (4 holes per inch), 3:1 pitch binding coil is readily available at MyBinding.com in over 25 sizes and 60 colors. You simply punch your document using the 3:1 pitch punching slot, spin the coil onto your document and use your coil crimping pliers to cut and crimp the coil so that it won’t spin off the book. Now you can use your C500 to bind documents with spiral coil.

In addition to comb binding, wire binding and coil binding the C500 is also fully compatible with the GBC ProClick binding style and the GBC ZipBind binding style. I sew very little. I have been pretty much snowed in lately and thought I would give serging a try. My machine arrived in only 2 days and I began the daunting process of threading it. I noticed that it already had some thread in it and I immediately pulled it out. I was actually a wee bit annoyed that they had left it that way. Oh my gosh, did I feel ridiculous when I figured out my mistake! Soooooo, I threaded it manually using the written instructions. It took a little longer than an hour to do so and most of that was spent on the Blue needle. The others were relatively simple. If you are COMPLETELY in the dark about sergers, I think this is a GREAT machine to purchase. The color coding was a life saver and I was actually up and running in about 90 minutes or less. The DVD provides very useful information about tensions, etc and I was very proudly making new seams on everything in my house in no time. My only complaint was that out of the box, the machine had a heavy mildew odor. It lingered on the machine for a few weeks and I can still smell it although it is bearable now. Other than that, I would recommend it even to the fearful. Nice for the price!

Customer Reviews

Easy to start with – Urd Megami – FL
So far this has been fairly good to me. I was easy to use easy to set up. The only problem I’ve had so far is it was hard to find all the adjustments, and sometimes the stitching seems to be too wide or too long without an intuitive way to fix it. Other than that it makes quick work of seams and am waiting to wrestle with the other set ups such as the gathering stitch. The CD was very helpful to see exactly how to thread the machine. However after watching it once or twice the manual was the most helpful for reference.

Super serger!! – B. Heckman –
I received this serger as a gift and love it. I have had a serger for about 20 years and love sewing with them. It was shipped very fast, arrived in great condition. It was packaged very well. I took it out of the box, set it up and started sewing with it. It does wonderful stitches, is easy to thread, adjustments are very easy to do. The instruction book is very helpful too. I would recommend this machine to anyone who loves to sew.

love it – Sergie Girl – kentucky
This is my first serger and I was a little intimidated by the thoughts of learning to thread it etc. but this was SO E_Z just like the name implies.
Color coded guide is right there on the door and the instructional DVD answered all my questions even before I used it for the first time. I was up and serging in just a few days and feeling confident about adjusting the threads and tensions to create different looks. I love this machine and think it was a great value. Nancy Z products ROCK!

We begin by collecting only the most important supplies to go to our quilting journey. Finally, before investing hundreds or even thousands of dollars in goods and tools for the boat, you want to know you're a fan of quilting before you spend a lot of money.

First, you need a sewing machine. If you can already buy one, as she seems to be an intimidating task. I do not feel as if you need to buy a new onetop-of-the-line sewing machine. do not even feel as if you buy a new batch. While there are good used ones that are awaiting new owners.

A friend who recently acquired by us to sell sewing machines 60s was $ 5 a yard, it works wonderfully. In general, sewing machines, all metal parts and gears are machines more reliable. This type of machine can be set to go, take somewrong. (The machines are not always cheaper to repair.) If purchased new, to start this type of machine, the end usually less than $ 200 – $ 300. I will not even begin to communicate with you about the different brands, models, etc. This is a blog about very own. But I emphasize, a walk or even feed foot for your machine. It 'almost impossible to sew through all layers, without jamming the fabric, without a walk. There are tutorials on the Internetdetermine which type of cells (low, high, diagonally), and what kind of walking is required. Depending on your machine, you must purchase a foot designed for your brand of machine.

Secondly, you need some small instruments. Make sure you have a good pair of scissors, a rotary cutter, a rotary cutting mat, rotary cutter and ruler. Some sewing or quilting shops selling these products (net of scissors), as a package. Now, if youtheir acquisition should only be used for sewing and quilting. (Connect this to your family, believe that this is the cutting of paper, hair, food, foam, etc.), various tools to be used also be needed just one hand corner pins and needles.

Now you must choose some fabric and glued to the eyelid. For your first project, we believe that this very simple. Choose two, yes, only two 100% cotton, which you like. For example, we chose a pair of jeans and an embroideredPre-quilted fabric in a color coordination. You can also choose a fixed and an obligation to coordinate with your decor. If you choose the fabric, make sure you are coordinating thread and a thread of coordination and embroidery. For this first floor, only 1.5 meters for each substance. The willingness of an eyelid, you need only 1.5 meters, and must be glued. You can purchase it by-the-court, or is packaged with a ledge that 45 inches x 60 inches. This dimensionwork if they are not two pieces of fabric larger than 45 cm. If even one of your pieces of cloth is the standard 44/45 cm, these prepackaged side will work for you. I would like 100% polyester or polyester-cotton blend recommended, in a low or medium-sized loft. How to be more to do, you can develop an idea of what you prefer of the eyelid.

Before you begin, make sure to wash the fabric. You need to know to sew, if the tissues begin to shrink or bleed. (Note: Ifthe edges with scissors, zig-zag cut, the fabric does not fray in the wash. Do not you worry strip board, do not mix.) Remove the fabric from the dryer as soon as possible, and iron. Put your material a bit 'at a time, place and the fabric. There are a number of tutorials online that gives you a help in this process. While it is crucial to this project, which you place the fabric, but it is a process thatIn any case, as you can find a more Quilter.

This tutorial is the second part of this two-part article on.
